Swampy The Alligator
Drove by Swampy the worlds largest alligator and had to take a photo. Swampy is big about 200 feet long and contains the gift shop, ticket counter and offices of Jungle Adventures.
Behind Swampy, the 10-acre Jungle Adventures park offers a tour of a Native Village, electric boat rides and boardwalks through the swamp, and a home for injured or thrown-away exotic pets as well as hundreds of alligators.

Putnam Lodge
We recently stayed at the Putnam Lodge, it is a historic hotel built in 1927 in Dixie County, Florida. Depending on the source it is located in Shamrock, Florida or adjacent Cross City, Florida. It was built in the company town developed around Putnam Lumber Company’s operations in Shamrock.
