The Amphicars at Disney Springs are an exceptionally rare breed of automobile. First, they’re amphibious, which means they can operate in water and on dry land. It’s quite a concept, and one that dates back to the early 1900s. But Amphicars were not manufactured until 1961. There wasn’t a huge demand for the frog-like vehicles, and only 3,878 were ever produced. Today, fewer than 400 Amphicars exist.

I recently visited Bradley’s Country Store, a 1927 family owned and operated general store, specializes in making the finest Homemade Sausage available using a century old secret family recipe. Grits and Cornmeal are also ground on site in the historic mill house. They are located 12 miles north of Tallahassee, Florida.

I recently visited the Goodwin Mansion and Museum in Tallahassee Florida. Originally built in the 1830s, Goodwood still has 16 historic structures remaining on the grounds including the original Main House Museum. Many of these structures were remodeled in the 1910s, giving Goodwood its current turn-of-the-century appearance. The museum features one of the earliest fresco ceilings in Florida and a vast collection of original furniture, porcelains, textiles, glassware, art, and more.Â
