From a visit to the Ponce de Leon lighthouse and museum located at Ponce de León Inlet south of Daytona Beach Florida. At 175 feet in height, it is the tallest lighthouse in the state and one of the tallest in the United States (the Cape Hatteras Light in North Carolina is taller at 207 feet.

I visited that lighthouse nine years ago on a trip to Florida. Wow! https://chuckthewriter.blog/2016/06/06/203-stairsteps-to-the-top/
This is a terrific photo, Tim. I love lighthouses! We have visited lighthouses from coast to coast. Some of the coolest ones were in Chesapeake Bay, which we managed to see/visit when we lived in Maryland back in the ’80s. And we spent a week at the Coast Guard Motel at Cape Hatteras back in 1986. We lived in Monterey, CA, from 2002-2017; visited lighthouses out there from Point Loma to Point Reyes. Now we live in Texas. I recently read about Jack Dennis’ experience with the Port Aransas Lighthouse so Gulf Coast lighthouses are now on my list. Love it! ~Ed.
