Florida FlyWheelers Antique Engine and Tractor Show 2024
I recently visited the Flywheelers Antique Engine Club a group that started in 1972. Their goal is to share their passion for old engines, tractors, cars, and machinery that helped people in the past. They fix them up, keep them running, and show them off to others.

Castillo de San Marcos
The oldest masonry fort in the continental United States, the Castillo de San Marcos is a large Spanish stone fortress built to protect and defend Spain’s claims in the New World. It’s a National Monument and, at more than 315 years old, it’s the oldest structure in St. Augustine, Florida.

Crystal Ice House
The Crystal Ice House might be mistaken for a vintage gas station, but in fact it’s something more rare: a vintage ice station. Built in 1932, it’s the lone survivor of four in Pensacola that were, according to its historical marker, “an integral part of neighborhood life during the years before household refrigeration.” Customers would drive or walk under its awning (enhanced with fake icicles) and wordlessly order ice from 100 pounds (one finger) to 12.5 pounds (five fingers) using the station’s “Hand Signals for Service” plaque as a guide.
